BYU modern Dancensemble to present new works Nov. 21-22

The Brigham Young University Department of Dance presents Dancensemble Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21 and 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Dance Studio Theatre (166 Richards Building). A matinee performance will be given Saturday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m.

Tickets at $5 are available through the Fine Arts Ticket Office, (801) 378-4322 or at www.byu.edu/hfac. They will also be available at the door.

Dancensemble provides students who wish to master the arts of choreography and performance an opportunity to create and present their works in studio production. The concert is a collaboration of student modern-dance creations offering a variety of movement styles and aesthetic experiences.

The concert, directed by faculty member Pat Debenham, features a variety of pieces by 10 student choreographers. The performance also features a number by Debenham.

"I get a thrill out of creating things and watching them come to life onstage," said student-choreographer Marianne Myers, a modern dance major.

For more information, contact Pat Debenham at (801) 422-3340 or publicity coordinator Chauntelle Plewe at 344-5649.
