Marsha Broadway, juvenile literature librarian at the Harold B. Lee Library, will speak Tuesday, May 30, at 11:05 a.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall for a Brigham Young University campus devotional.

With the topic “When the Spirit Calls Your Name,” Broadway will discuss when and why names are spiritually used.
Broadway previously worked as chair of the Humanities and Religion Library in the Harold B. Lee Library, and she serves as editor of the electronic journal “The Children’s Book and Play Review.”
The author of several articles and book reviews, Broadway conducts research in library use instruction, information needs assessment and children’s literature. She also served on the 1996 Caldecott Medal Committee and the 2005 Newbery Medal Committee.
Broadway earned a master’s degree in library and information studies from BYU and completed a doctoral degree in information studies at Florida State University.
