BYU Jazz Repertory Orchestra to perform June 11

The Brigham Young University Jazz Repertory Orchestra directed by Steve Call will present a free concert Wednesday, June 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall.

The program, "Music From the Great Bands: Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman," will feature favorites such as "Avalon" by Al Jolson, "Sing, Sing, Sing" by Louis Prima and "Take the A Train" by Billy Strayhorn. A medley of Ellington favorites including "In a Sentimental Mood," "Mood Indigo" and "Don't Mean a Thing" will also be performed.
