Jazz students from Brigham Young University’s School of Music will present two free concerts Thursday and Friday, Dec. 1-2.
The Jazz Lab Band will perform Thursday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall. The band is directed by student conductors.
Three jazz combos will perform in the Jazz Combo Concert Friday, Dec. 2, at 5:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall. Each combo will perform a variety of jazz selections, with one group presenting salsa styles. Directors of the combos include Jay Lawrence, Bob Taylor and Mark Ammons.
