BYU hosts Spring Research Conference March 17

Featuring students' work in College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences

More than 300 students from the various departments of the Brigham Young University College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences will present the results of their research during the college’s Spring Research Conference Saturday, March 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Thomas L. Martin Building.

Admission is free, and the public is welcome to attend.

Undergraduate and graduate students will speak on their research in chemistry, biochemistry, computer science, geological science, mathematics, mathematics education, physics, astronomy and statistics. A list of scheduled presentations can be found online at cpms.byu.edu/springresearch/abstractlist.

The conference will open at 8 a.m. in 445 Thomas L. Martin Building, where the college will recognize 56 Frontiers magazine undergraduate mentorship recipients, as well as give conference attendees a taste of what will be shown in the individual presentations with a video titled “Fast Forward.” Student presentations will begin at 8:30 a.m.
