BYU hosts Dale Warland Singers in concert March 29

Celebrating their 30th anniversary season, the Dale Warland Singers are recognized as one of the world's foremost a cappella choral ensembles. The 40-voice choir, based in Minneapolis, will perform "Cathedral Classics" at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall at Brigham Young University on Saturday March 29 as part of the Great Artists Series.

Tickets at $9 for the general public or $3 off with a BYU or student ID are available at the Fine Arts Ticket Office, (801) 378-4322 or www.byu.edu/hfac.

The Dale Warland Singers have earned their commitment to commissioning and performing new choral music. The ensemble has kept the choral genre fresh and alive by commissioning works from well-known composers.

In addition to a subscription season in the Twin Cities, the Dale Warland Singers have toured throughout the United States and abroad.

At this performance the Dale Warland Singers will premiere "Lord, Let At Last Thine Angels Come" by composer-in-residence Frank Ferko and featuring guest cellist Laura Sewell. They will also perform the world premiere of "Vision of Heaven" by J. Aaron McDermid, a combination of writings from sacred and secular sources.
