Brigham Young University’s Golden Age Theatre Group presents “El Muerto Disimulado,” a 17th-century comedy by Angela de Azevedo, March 11 through 13 at 7 p.m. in the Wilkinson Student Center Garden Court. A matinee will also be presented at noon on March 12.

Admission is $5, and all are welcome to attend. Notes and translations will be provided for those of limited or no experience with Spanish.

The Golden Age Theatre Group has performed full-length plays in Spanish for the last three years, and has received a special grant from Spain’s Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports. The group will tour throughout Utah, Idaho, and the southwest.

Other performances include:

  • Logan, March 19, at 7 p.m. at Utah State University.

  • Rexburg, Idaho, March 20, at 3 p.m. at BYU-Idaho. The program is also sponsored by the Brigham Young University College of Humanities and the BYU Office of Research and Creative Administration. The project is designed to expand awareness of Spanish Golden Age Theatre, with special emphasis on university audiences and educational outreach to secondary, middle and elementary school children.
