Two Saturday matinee performances will be held May 22 and 29 at 2 p.m. Tickets for the performances are available at lds.org. Since 1970, the group has traveled throughout the United States and to 56 foreign countries as musical ambassadors for BYU and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Tours for this year include a visit to South Africa.

Friday, May 26 through Saturday, June 12

“Mysteries of Monster Grove,” an interactive family production created by children’s author Rick Walton, will be staged in the Nelke Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances will be held June 3, 5, 11 and 12 at 2 p.m. There will be no performances Sundays or Mondays. Tickets will be available Monday, April 26 at the Fine Arts Ticket Office, (801) 422-4322 or at arts.byu.edu. The play is about Sylvia, whose parents are accountants for classic monsters like Count Dracula. Things are great until the day her father mysteriously vanishes. Sylvia sets out to solve the mystery of her father's disappearance and solves a few other puzzles along the way. Walton has created a production just for BYU that will require the audience to help solve the mystery by voting on the ending.

Wednesday through Saturday, June 9-12

The BYU School of Music presents Gilbert and Sullivan's “Trial by Jury" and Gian Carlo Menotti's “The Telephone,” two comic one-act operas, in the Madsen Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the Fine Arts Ticket Office, (801) 422-4322 or at arts.byu.edu.

At the Museum of Art

“Bill Owens: Suburbia,” a new exhibition, is a sly photographic study of suburban life in the 1970s, the second generation of the post-war suburban movement. This exhibition of 65 black-and-white photographs subtly illustrates the incongruities of a consumer culture that has culminated in the American lifestyle of the 21st century. This exhibition will be on view in the Warren & Alice Jones and Paul & Betty Boshard galleries on the lower level of the museum through Saturday, Dec. 4. Admission is free.

Other exhibits include "The First 100 Years: Collecting Art at BYU," "Mirror, Mirror: Contemporary Portraits and the Fugitive Self" and "American Dreams: Selected Works from the Museum's Permanent Collection of American Art."

The Museum of Art is open Monday though Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. The museum is closed Sunday.
