BYU Film Resource and Funding Committee sets Oct. 10 proposal deadline

The BYU Film Resource and Funding Committee (FRFC) announces a call for proposals for the funding of film and television projects.

The FRFC funds the development and production of imaginative and forward-thinking film and television projects that support the educational mission of BYU.

Committee objectives, proposal guidelines and applications are posted on the College of Fine Arts and Communication Web site under the Grants section, http://cfac.byu.edu/college/grants.php.

The fall semester application deadline is Oct. 10.

Female judges, especially women of color, cited far less frequently than male judges

Researchers from UNC Charlotte, University of Louisville, University of Georgia and Brigham Young University analyzed how the race and gender of federal judges might be impacting judicial processes. Specifically, they wanted to see which types of judges get the most attention from their peers when they have complete discretion to reference another judge’s work.
