BYU college sponsors Mentored Learning Research Conference April 11

The work of economists, the situation of Iraqi women and Chinese life in the 19th century will be some of the topics of student research projects on display for the third annual Mentored Student Research Conference at Brigham Young University Wednesday, April 11, in the Wilkinson Student Center Ballroom.

Admission is free, and the public is welcome.

Sponsored by the Mary Lou Fulton Chair in the College of Family, Home and Social Sciences, the event will take place from 10 to 11:50 a.m. and 2 to 3 p.m. Students studying anthropology, geography, history, political science, psychology, social work and other fields will have the opportunity to present and explain their research to the public.

Mentored research is an important aspect of the College of Family, Home and Social Sciences and of the university. The hands-on learning as well as the exposure to faculty research broadens student knowledge and creates new opporunities for projects and careers.
