BYU Brass Chamber Night to feature new works Nov. 3

The Brigham Young University School of Music will host a Brass Chamber Night Saturday, Nov. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital hall.

Admission to the concert is free and the public is welcome to attend.

The recital, which will be directed by Will Kimball, will consist of performances by three separate student brass quintets.

The first quintet, consisting of two trumpets, a horn, a euphonium and a trombone, will perform “Brass Quintet No. 1” by Victor Ewald.

The second quintet, consisting of two trumpets, two trombones and a horn, will present “Frostfire” by Eric Ewazen.

The final quintet performance of the evening will consist of two trumpets, two trombones, a horn, and percussion accompaniment and will perform “Glaze” by Lansing McLoskey.
