The annual Christmas Preview Night at the BYU Bookstore will be Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 5 to 9 p.m. The Preview Night sale offers 20 percent off most merchandise, including many items already on sale. A highlight of the evening will be a special exhibit on the third floor featuring Mark Mabry’s “Reflections of Christ” photography. Mabry will be available to sign books, prints and CDs. and a stunning multi-media presentation will be shown throughout the evening.

The Art Department will also have a “Mystery Artist” signing prints that evening. Clues as to the identity of the artist are hidden in the Bookstore Art Department to help people guess who it is. “The Mystery Artist is very well-known,” said Val Ugolini, Bookstore art buyer. “People will be happy to see the artist.”

“Students faculty and the local community all look forward to seeing the Bookstore decorated for Christmas and participating in the sales and special events of Preview Night,” said Rowdy Symons, Bookstore creative services manager. “It’s also a fun way for the Bookstore employees to launch the holiday season in the store.”

Apple Computer and the BYU Bookstore will pay the sales tax on any Apple Computer purchased on Preview Night, and financing for up to 24 months will be available.

The Bookstore will be closed from 4 to 5 p.m. on Christmas Preview Night to allow employees to prepare the store for the sale. When the store opens at 5 p.m., more than 730 free gifts will be given away to the first customers to visit various departments in the store. Sale items include books, calendars, food, art supplies, craft and floral items, clothes, Cougar Wear, winter items, gifts, DVDs, CDs and much more.
