BYU Bookstore announces winners of 2007 Bookstore Bag Photo Competition

The Brigham Young University Bookstore announced the winners of its 2007 BYU Bookstore Photo Competition, choosing from photographs taken by BYU students in Peru, Thailand, Uganda, Bolivia, France, the Dead Sea and more.

The photo competition started at the beginning of the summer. Participants were encouraged to take unique pictures featuring the distinctive blue-and-white BYU Bookstore bags.

Eric Carter won the grand prize of a $1,000 BYU Bookstore gift card for his picture of Fijian warriors dressed in loincloths made from Bookstore bags. Melanie Willden won the runner-up prize for her picture of a woman holding a Bookstore bag while riding a camel.

The winning pictures are on display in the BYU Bookstore and are available online at bookstore.byu.edu under What's New. For more information, contact Rowdy Symons at (801) 422-8399.
