BYU Biannual Career Fair at Wilkinson Center Sept. 29

“Networking Starts Now” for Brigham Young University students at the University Career Services’ biannual Career Fair Wednesday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Wilkinson Student Center Ballroom and Garden Court.

More than 100 employers — from American Express to Xactware — will host booths to let recruiters interface directly with BYU students. Both local and national organizations searching for interns and full-time employees are attending.

“It’s a rare opportunity for students to interact with so many recruiters in one place at one time,” said Career Fair chair Monte Marshall. “We want students to prepare by visiting Career Services beforehand so they can go with a plan, instead of casually walking through the fair, hoping to grab an employer’s attention.”

Students of all academic disciplines are encouraged to attend, dressed in professional attire, and should bring several copies of their resume. To prepare, Marshall recommends students browse the complete employer list at careerfair.byu.edu and target five to 10 organizations. Students can get help customizing their resumes for each employer during walk-in times at Career Services Friday, Sept. 24, and Monday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in 2410 WSC.

Employers may reserve booths until Sept. 28 by following the links at the website. Booths cost $400.

For more information about the fair, contact Cody Leishman at (801) 422-6535 or cody_leishman@byu.edu or visit careerfair.byu.edu.
