BYU Army, Air Force ROTC plan Presidential Review Nov. 13

The Air Force and Army ROTC at Brigham Young University will host their annual Presidential Review and Leadership Excellence Award Ceremony Thursday, Nov. 13, at noon in Brigham's Square outside the Wilkinson Student Center on the BYU campus.

The review and award ceremony will be held in conjunction with Patriots' Week.

Retired Air Force Col. Leonard R. Moon will receive the annual award. After the review and presentation, Moon will address the guests and cadets.

The review and award ceremony serve a dual purpose: exposing the cadets to formal ceremonies as a part of their training, and allowing the BYU ROTC program to recognize local military leaders.

Moon retired from the Air Force in 1992 after serving almost 30 years as a fighter pilot. He flew 434 combat missions in Vietnam and Thailand, earning two Distinguished Flying Crosses and 24 Air Medals. Moon is a former commander of the Air Force ROTC detachment at BYU.

For more information about the review and award ceremony, contact Ginny Richman at (801) 422-2671.
