BYU Arabic Club to host question-and-answer session Feb. 28

The Arabic Club at Brigham Young University will host a question-and-answer session on “Media and Danish Free Speech” Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. in 238 Herald R. Clark Building.

All interested are invited to attend.

After a lecture last week regarding free speech, the Arabic Club decided to continue the discussion with a meeting where audience members could ask question.

“We will be addressing the Muslim perspective on the Danish culture and the free speech issue,” said Ahmad Salah, BYU’s Arabic Club president. “The Arabic Club hopes to bridge some of the gaps between Muslims and the Western community.”

The Arabic Club presidency, presenters from BYU’s Muslim Student Association and faculty members with expertise in Middle Eastern studies will answer questions about free speech.

For more information contact Ahmad Salah at (801) 422-5846.
