BYU appoints new Equal Employment Opportunity manager

R. Blair Condie, assistant administrative vice president-Human Resources, has announced the appointment of Margaret "Peg" Schmidt as the university's Equal Employment Opportunity manager. Schmidt has begun working with the campus community in the areas of training and casework.

Training is available to faculty, staff, athletic teams and classes. Training covers topics outlined by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act as well as issues relating to disabilities, age discrimination, equal pay and Title IX of the Education Amendment. Training is available by calling ext. 2-3863.

Schmidt can be reached at ext. 2-5895 or via the 24-hour line, 367-5689, to set appointments or to discuss concerns regarding appropriate workplace behavior.
