Buster Keaton's "College" featured at annual BYU Silent Film Night Nov. 4

The Brigham Young University School of Music will present the annual Silent Film Night with organist Mike Ohman Saturday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

Admission will be $9 for the general public, $7.50 for alumni and $6 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the Fine Arts Ticket Office, by calling (801) 422-7664 or by visiting performances.byu.edu.

Mike Ohman, associate director of the School of Music, will provide live organ accompaniment to “College,” a 1927 black-and-white slapstick film starring Buster Keaton. The film will be presented as it was meant to be seen, with complementary music from the organ.

“College” focuses on Keaton’s brainy freshman, who falls head-over-heels in love with a beautiful coed. When she is wooed by a handsome athlete, Keaton hits the field to show his mettle with hilarious results.

For more information, contact Mike Ohman at (801) 422-3149.
