Bill Eggington to present BYU devotional address Nov. 8

Bill Eggington of Brigham Young University’s Linguistics and English language Department will give the devotional address Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. in the Marriott Center. He will be speaking on “Therefore Ye Are No More Strangers and Foreigners.”

Eggington has a bachelor's degree from BYU-Hawaii in English and teaching English as a second language with secondary teaching credentials. He earned master's  and doctoral degrees in linguistics from the University of Southern California.

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and online at byub.org. Rebroadcast and archive information will be available at byub.org/devotionals or speeches.byu.edu.

BYU’s space ace: Minor planet named in honor of Jani Radebaugh

BYU planetary geology professor Jani Radebaugh’s contributions to planetary science have reached cosmic proportions as she recently received the prestigious honor of having a minor planet named her. The asteroid, previously known as “45690,” now bears the name “45690janiradebaugh” on official NASA/JPL websites.
