Annual BYU Gerontology Conference March 9 at Conference Center

Brigham Young University will host the 19th Annual Russell B. Clark Gerontology Health Conference Monday, March 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the BYU Conference Center.

Admission is free, and all are invited to attend. Lunch will be provided. Free parking will be available west of the Conference Center.

With the theme of “Generations Working Together,” the conference will feature keynote speaker T. Colin Campbell, emeritus faculty of nutritional science at Cornell University. Campbell is the author of “The China Study: Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long Term Health.” He was trained at Cornell and MIT in nutrition, biochemistry and toxicology.

Other presenters will address issues in gerontology including music therapy, loneliness and depression, dental care, physical wellness and cancer prevention.

The conference will feature musical performances by Broadway performer Mindy Smoot Robbins, pianist James Oneil Miner and harpist Tristan Adair.
