The American Piano Duo, featuring Brigham Young University faculty pianist Jeffrey Shumway and Del Parkinson from Boise State University, will perform works by impressionist composers Saturday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall.
The concert is sponsored by BYU’s School of Music, and admission is free.
Numbers to be performed during the concert include "En blanc et noir" and the "Nocturnes" by Claude Debussy as well as Maurice Ravel's "Daphnis et Chloé."
Shumway and Parkinson, who have performed together since 1984, met while attending the Juilliard School of Music in New York City. They have since performed throughout the United States, Mexico and Europe.
