Ambassador to discuss "Thailand-U.S. Relations" at BYU

His Excellency Sakthip Krairiksh will speak on "Thailand-U.S. Relations" Wednesday, March 26, at the International Forum Series at Brigham Young University.

The lecture, which is hosted by the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies, will take place at noon in 238 Herald R. Clark Building. It will be Webcast at http://kennedy.byu.edu/INTForum.

Krairiksh has been the ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the United States since 2001. Prior to this appointment, he was an ambassador to both Japan and Cambodia. He has also been the on the board of directors for the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the National Cultural Committee, and the HRH Prince Mahidol Awards.

Krairiksh received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Boston University in 1971. He later attended the National Defence College in Thailand. In 2001, he was given an honorary doctorate from Soka University in Japan.
