Paul Buckner named managing director of supply and logistics

Brigham Young University Administration Vice President and CFO Steve Hafen announced today that Paul Buckner has been named the managing director of supply and logistics at BYU.

“Paul’s relevant and progressive years of experience – coupled with his enthusiastic desire to build from the great foundation in place in this division – make him an ideal person for this role. He will continue to actively seek operational improvements while delivering best-in-class service to the various audiences that the supply and logistics team serves across the campus.”

Buckner has spent 12 years as an employee at BYU, most recently serving as the director of purchasing.

His education and career began in North Carolina and continued in Arkansas before his move to Utah and BYU. He is married to his wonderful wife of 31 years, Marne, and they have three children and six grandchildren.

Buckner replaces Tim Hill, who is retiring on March 1 after more than 40 years working for the Church and BYU.

“Tim has been an outstanding leader of the supply and logistics team, and a major contributor to our great university. We wish him the best in his retirement!” Hafen said.

Sarah Clark named dean of McKay School of Education

Clark’s tenure is effective immediately. She replaces Kendra Hall-Kenyon, who had served in that role since 2022 and was recently named an associate academic vice president.
