BYU tuition to increase 3% for 2025–26 academic year

Brigham Young University will implement a 3% increase for undergraduate tuition for the 2025–26 academic year. This will bring the undergraduate rate per semester from $3,344 to $3,444, an increase of $100.

The increase is intended to cover cost increases in areas such as supplies, salaries, library needs and laboratory materials.

Next year's tuition for advanced-standing (graduate) students will be raised by 3% as well, from $4,208 to $4,336 per semester, an increase of $128. BYU Law and graduate Marriott School of Business students will pay $7,996, an increase of $232 from last year's rate of $7,764.

Undergraduate tuition for spring and summer terms will also increase from $1,672 to $1,722, or $50 more. Spring and summer rates for advanced-standing students will be $2,168, an increase of $64.

Students who are not members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints pay twice the listed tuition rates, and those rates in 2025-2026 will also reflect the increase for undergraduate and graduate programs.

Per semester, non-member undergraduates will pay $6,888, an increase of $200; advanced-standing non-member students will pay $8,672, an increase of $256; and non-member law and business graduate students will pay $15,992, an increase of $464.
