BYU’s mission and destiny to become a great university through unique means should lead all who work and study at the university to continue forward with inspiring learning.
Elder David A. Bednar, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, urged employees to rely on the Holy Ghost and the spiritual gift of revelation.
“We need to educate more deeply and more powerfully than we have ever done before or than anyone has ever done,” said Elder Kim B. Clark, commissioner of the Church Educational System, to faculty and staff at BYU.
President Kevin J Worthen tells BYU faculty and staff to focus on creating opportunities that both inspires students to learn and provides inspiration for more learning.
“The product of the mind is our business. [However,] it is more the heart than the mind that defines us," said Academic VP Brent Webb, on success at BYU comes by being thoughtful and heartfelt.
