Y Days fills week of March 14 with service projects

The Brigham Young University Center for Service and Learning will sponsor Y Days, a week devoted to serving people in the community, during the week of March 14-19.

The purpose of Y Days is to encourage students to serve others around them and pledge to serve for the rest of their lives.

The week's activities include:

MONDAY

Brigham Square

11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

Staining and assembling wooden toys to be sent to children in need.

Brigham Square

Noon–1 p.m.

Official Kickoff

TUESDAY

Brigham Square

11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

Staining and assembling wooden toys to be sent to children in need.

3224 Wilkinson Student Center

7–9 p.m.

Coloring alphabet books for children all over the world

WEDNESDAY

Brigham Square

11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

Staining and assembling wooden toys to be sent to children in need.

3290 Wilkinson Student Center

7–9 p.m.

Making backpacks and coloring books for needy Utah children.

THURSDAY

Brigham Square

11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

Staining and assembling wooden toys to be sent to children in need.

Wilkinson Student Center Garden Court

6–9 p.m.

St. Patrick's Day service projects with children with disabilities.

FRIDAY

Brigham Square and Wilkinson Student Center Terrace

11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

Staining and assembling wooden toys to be sent to children in need.

Brigham Square and Wilkinson Student Center Terrace

Noon–1 p.m.

Friday Finale – Awards for service and entertainment.

SATURDAY

Pioneer Park

2–4 p.m.

I-15 Cleanup. Participants will meet at the park and transportation, tools, gloves and goodies will be provided for the project.
