An internationally recognized Thai scholar and social critic will speak at an International Forum Series lecture Wednesday, April 14, at noon in 238 Herald R. Clark Building on the Brigham Young University campus.
Sulak Sivaraksa will address "Socially Engaged Spirituality." The lecture is free and the public is invited to attend.
Sivaraksa has worked as an advocate for democracy, human rights and accountable government.
He has established several nongovernmental organizations in Thailand in addition to his working for change on regional, national and international levels.
