Steven Taylor, assistant dean of the College of Life Sciences at Brigham Young University, will be the campus devotional speaker on Tuesday, June 22, at 11:05 a.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.
The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and online at byub.org. Rebroadcast and archive information will be available at byub.org/devotionals or speeches.byu.edu.
Taylor has had a long career in education in many different areas. He is a graduate of BYU, receiving his bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish. He then taught high school seminary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bountiful, Utah, for four years.
After completing a master’s degree in linguistics and teaching English as a second language, he left to teach English to Iranian Air Force pilots in Isfahan, Iran.
Since coming to BYU in 1977, he has served in an administrative capacity with six different deans in two colleges.
