Cliqbook self-book travel site now available to BYU employees

The new self-book travel tool Cliqbook is now available to the campus community. This application gives BYU business travelers the ability to book air, hotel and rental car needs themselves. You may be familiar with similar tools available on the Web such as Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, etc.

"What sets Cliqbook apart from other Web travel tools is that it not only includes fares from the Web but also BYU-agency fares," said Paul Anderson of BYU Travel Services. "One convenient aspect to using our BYU-agency fares is that, should you need to change your travel arrangements, the BYU Travel Department is available to facilitate those changes. Our agency fares are very competitive and in many cases, less than the cost of Web fares."

"Cliqbook is an optional travel booking tool," said Anderson. "It is not designed to replace the BYU travel agents, but to enhance the services provided by them. As always, if you have complex travel plans or just feel more comfortable working with an agent, feel free to contact the Travel Department and we will be happy to service your travel needs."

"We are excited for travelers in the BYU community to begin using Cliqbook, and want to give them advance notice of its availability," he said.

In order to access Cliqbook, travelers will first need to attend a one-hour training session that will be held regularly on campus. As part of the training session, attendees' information will be gathered so they can be set up in the Cliqbook program. Once the traveler is set up, an email confirmation will be sent, along with additional Cliqbook instructions.

Training sessions will be offered weekly on Thursdays beginning May 6 and continuing through July 29 at 11 a.m. in 3714 HBLL. The room is accessed by entering the Harold B. Lee Library's south entrance.

"In the near future we intend to provide this program to students, alumni and conference and camp attendees," he said.
