BYU offers December sports clinics in baseball, lacrosse

The Brigham Young University Baseball Academy and Lacrosse Clinic will offer winter training for boys ages 9 to 18 on select days in December.

The BYU Baseball Academy offers two baseball training clinics—the Elite Pitching Clinic and the Elite Hitting Clinic. Head coach and former Major League Baseball All-Star Vance Law and assistant coach Ryan Roberts will be running the clinics. The BYU Baseball Academy clinics are available to boys ages 9 to 18, who will be grouped according to age and skill level.

The Elite Pitching and Catching Clinic will take place on Dec. 9 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost is $79. The Elite Hitting Clinic will be conducted Dec. 16 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Dec. 17 from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost is $89. The combined clinic package costs $155.

Participants in the Winter Lacrosse Clinic will join head coach Jason Lamb, who has led lacrosse teams to nine league championships and two national championships, for intensive training, including specific instruction and individual attention to improve lacrosse skills. Clinic instruction will include passing, dodging, shooting and defending. Participants will also learn the essentials of team strategy and individual player techniques. The clinic is open to boys ages 11 to 18, who will be grouped according to age and skill level.

The Winter Lacrosse Clinic will take place on Dec. 26 and 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. The cost is $99 and the equipment rental cost is $25. Lunch will be provided both days.

The asteroid, previously known as “45690,” now bears the name “45690janiradebaugh” on official NASA/JPL websites.
