BYU hosts annual Genealogy and Family History Conference July 29-Aug. 1

Brigham Young University's annual Genealogy and Family History Conference, "Strengthening Ties That Bind Families Together Forever" will be Tuesday, July 29 through Friday, Aug. 1.

The conference will feature keynote presenters Elder Spencer J. Condie of the First Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; Curt B. Witcher, current president of the National Genealogical Society; Don R. Anderson, Worldwide Support Services director of the Family and Church History Department and Susan Easton Black, BYU professor of Church History and Doctrine.

The fee for the four-day conference, including the syllabus, is $169. University credit may be received for the conference. Students may earn two credit hours in History 481R (family history directed research). The cost for credit registration is $312.

BYU Religious Education, the BYU History Department, the Center for Family History and Genealogy, the LDS Family History Library and BYU Conferences and Workshops are sponsoring the conference.
