BYU mechanical engineers have made a name for themselves by applying the principles of origami to engineering. Now they're applying their origami skills to a new realm: the human body.

Working with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a team of BYU mechanical engineering students and faculty have designed a solar array that can be tightly compacted for launch and then deployed in space to generate power for space stations or satellites.
