Scheherazade

“Scheherazade” by Rimski-Korsakoff is one of the most famous and popular classical works of all time, based on the classic folk tales, “One Thousand and One Nights,” also known as the “Arabian Nights.”

BYU Wind Symphony

Four of the School of Music’s top instrumental ensembles perform as part of a series of concerts that highlight the upcoming year’s performances.

The widely-acclaimed ensemble, showcasing approximately 95 of BYU’s finest student musicians, will feature three landmark works for the orchestra. 

The BYU School of Music presents its annual Instrumental Showcase on Friday, Sept. 23, at 7:30 p.m., in the de Jong Concert Hall of the Harris Fine Arts Center.

Last year, the BYU Men’s Chorus invited YouTube sensation, Alex Boyé, to join them in a new music video of Baba Yetu, a choral, Swahili version of the Lord’s Prayer. That video was released this month.
