Cecelia Fielding is the Campus News Manager and Editor of the YNEWS, the campus faculty-staff newsletter, for University Communications. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from BYU and minor in journalism and has done graduate studies at BYU and DePaul University. A former reporter for the Daily Herald and editor of publications for New York City-based United States Institute of Theatre Technology, she has worked at BYU for more than 20 years. She received a Gold Medal in the national 2000 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards Program for the YNEWS.

Joe Hadfield is a Media Relations Manager for University Communications. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in public policy from Brigham Young University. During the 2004 election he wrote for Campaigns & Elections Magazine in Washington, D.C. He later worked as an analyst for government and academic clients of the research firm Knowledge Networks in Menlo Park, California. In April 2007 he joined University Communications where he shares BYU news with national and local reporters.

Brent Harker is director of Web Communications, which is part of University Communications. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 1974 from Utah State University and then worked for the Deseret News and the Lethbridge Herald for 10 years before joining University Communications in 1983. He served as associate director and director of University Communications before creating Web Communications in 1996. While working at BYU, Brent earned a master’s degree in Public Administration in 1987 and a doctorate in Family Studies in 1997.

Todd Hollingshead is an Information Manager/Media Relations Manager for University Communications. He graduated from BYU with a bachelor's degree in communications in 2004. Since that time, he has worked at The Daily Herald and The Salt Lake Tribune as a news reporter. Todd has worked in University Communications since May 2007, and also teaches an introductory news writing class in the Communications department.

Carri P. Jenkins is the assistant to the president for University Communications at Brigham Young University. In that position, she serves as the spokesperson for the university and directs the university’s communications offices. A Utah native, Carri received bachelor’s and master's degrees from BYU in communications. For 12 years, she served as the associate editor of BYU Magazine, the university's alumni publication. She also has been an instructor in the BYU Communications Department, a university speech writer and a publicity director. Prior to her current position, which she has held since 2000, she was the director of Media Communications at BYU.

Jon McBride is a Media Relations Manager for University Communications. Prior to this position he worked in University Communications at Weber State University where he created and developed the university's social media presence. He earned a bachelor's degree in communication from Weber State in 2008.

Mark A. Philbrick is the BYU University Photography Director in University Communications. He graduated from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in communications (emphasis photography) in 1975 and received his master degree in Education in 1978. He has been named the University Photographer of the Year six times by the University Photographers' Association of America and he takes darn good pictures.

As BYU’s Broadcast Manager, Julie Walker works with broadcast journalists and produces university videos including commercials, promotions, and news/documentary projects. Walker has written, produced and directed award-winning broadcast projects including the nationally distributed documentary Out of the Ashes: Recovering the Lost Library of Herculaneum (for KBYU and American Public Television). A graduate of BYU’s broadcast journalism program, she was also a screenwriter for BYU Broadcasting documentary series, Real Families, Real Answers and Ancestors, and has produced various radio and television projects for the LDS Church.

Jaren Wilkey is the manager of BYU University Photography. He graduated from BYU with a bachelor's degree in English in 2001. Jaren has worked in the University Photography office since 1998, and was hired as a full time photographer in 2004. He has won numerous state and national awards for his photography and teaches an introductory photography class in the Visual Arts department.
