BYU's Paul Farnsworth receives service award from national society

Paul Farnsworth, chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at BYU, received the Distinguished Service Award from the Society for Applied Spectrometry. The award was formally presented at the 2009 Federation of Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy Societies last month.

BYU to observe National Chemistry Week Oct. 18-24

National Chemistry Week will take place the week of Oct. 18-24 on the campus with a variety of activities and programs sponsored by the Central Utah Section of the American Chemical Society, including chemical magic shows and a research poster session and reception.
