Brad Wilcox to address the Atonement at BYU devotional July 12

Brad Wilcox, associate professor in the Department of Teacher Education, will speak at the Brigham Young University devotional Tuesday, July 12, at 11:05 a.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

Wilcox’s address will be titled “His Grace is Sufficient” and his comments will be based on his recent book “The Continuous Atonement.”

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and online at byub.org. Rebroadcast and archive information will be available at byub.org/devotionals or speeches.byu.edu.

Wilcox was the director of BYU’s Study Abroad Program in New Zealand. He is especially involved with working with youth programs such as the Especially for Youth Program and Campus Education Week. He is also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Sunday School General Board.

In addition to his teaching duties, Wilcox is an esteemed author. He has published other gospel-centered books such as “Growing Up: Gospel Answers about Maturation and Sex,” and “Raising Ourselves to the Bar.” He also authored the children’s books “Hip, Hip, Hooray for Annie McRae,” and “There’s Always a Way, Annie McRae.”

Previous to joining the BYU faculty, Wilcox was a 6th grade teacher. He was raised in Provo, but spent some childhood years in Ethiopia, Africa and lived in Laramie, Wyo., while working on a doctorate at the University of Wyoming.
