BYU Jazz Voices plan concert Dec. 2

Brigham Young University’s vocal jazz group Jazz Voices will be performing in the Madsen Recital Hall Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets at $6 are available through the Fine Arts Ticket Office, (801) 422-4322 or byuarts.com.

Under the direction of Katie Williams, the 14-member group is known for its tight harmonies, rhythmic accuracy, improvisation and scatting abilities. Some music is sung a cappella, and other arrangements utilize piano, guitar, bass and drum accompaniment.

During this performance, Jazz Voices will be performing “There Will Never Be Another You” arranged by Anders Jalkeus, “And So It Goes” by Billy Joel and “Cottontail” by Duke Ellington, among other works.
